H.E Amb. Mrs. Liguemoh Grants Audience to CFC Managing Director, Ambassador Belal


22 Jan 2025: Cameroon’s Ambassador to the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg H.E Amb. Mrs. Liguemoh Ondoua Madeleine, on Thursdays 22 Jan 2025 granted audience to the Managing Director of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), H.E Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal.

During the meeting which took place in the Embassy of Cameroon in the Hague, both diplomats discussed issues pertaining to bilateral relations, a follow-up of some files, as well as arrived at a consensus on working together for the creation of wealth through humanizing value chains.

Ambassador Mrs. Liguemoh expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Belal for taking the trouble of visiting the Cameroon Embassy. She also expressed her appreciation to Ambassador Belal for his vision and leadership, shown through his visionary programme under the CFC known as “Humanizing Value Chain”.  She requested her august guest to convey her thanks to all the staff members of CFC for their marvelous accomplishments in addressing the problem of poverty through their commodity value chain approach. Most importantly, she assured him that Cameroon will continue to be supportive of the CFC.

On his part, Ambassador Belal thanked Ambassador Liguemoh for her warm reception and continuous cooperation. He wished her good health and continued success in the future.

It should be noted that before joining the CFC, Ambassador Belal served as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, concurrently accredited to the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, between March 2014 to February 2020. During his tenure, he also represented Bangladesh as the Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Hague, The Netherlands. He also served in prominent roles, including Chairperson of the Executive Council from 2017 to 2018.
